The black Plague is similar to the coronavirus in multiple ways. The black plague had a very high fertility rate. Once someone got the Plague, it was almost guaranteed that they were not going to live through it. The Corona virus is very new to us so we don't know if it kills everyone. It doesn't seem to show up in kids symptom wise, but that doesn't mean we aren't carriers. Older people 60+ really seem to be the people who it's a scare for. Their immune systems are weak and if they get the virus it is very hard to fight for them. People and Italy are even saying that they might not treat those 60+ because they don't feel it's necessary.

Due to this virus, students lose half of their freshman year, and for those who play spring sports, they miss out on their entire season. For me, personally, I only got to play a double header, and a few practices. For us and the teachers, their missing out on a group of kids who probably had a special place in their heart. While online school is more convenient, I feel like being face to face with a teacher helps me learn better, and it's hard to do it at home.

Cyberschool has been so difficult for me lately. Its impossible to keep up with all the work that's assigned and all my teachers post in different places. Math doesn't make sense unless I am in the room with that teacher and now my grades slipping because i'm so confused. My parents don't understand how technology is such a liability to do work on whether something doesn't save or send. I never thought I'd say this but I miss school.
